OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Edward Leon Grund, former CEO of A.R.T. Furniture and COO of Markor Furniture, died Dec. 9, 2022.
Born in Baltimore on March 30, 1945, to Leopold and Rosalie Grund, he attended Glen Burnie High School and the University of Maryland. He began his career at The Hecht Company in Washington D.C., moving on to senior positions at several department stores before taking roles including president of Levitz Furniture, CEO of A.R.T. Furniture and COO of Markor Furniture.
Grund was predeceased by his parents and two sons, Brennen and Garrison.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie; a daughter, a grandson, a sister and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
