CONNELLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Veteran furniture retailer Harry Lindy Hudson Sr. passed away on Oct. 7 at his residence after a period of declining health. He was 93.
Hudson was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Burke County, N.C., to J.E. and Cesarine Hudson. He was the owner and operator of Lindy’s Furniture in Connelly Springs and Hickory, working and interacting with his friends and customers even past his 92nd birthday.
An active member of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church, Hudson had served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a 50-year member of the Lovelady Masonic Lodge 670, Valdese, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty and a brother.
Hudson is survived by his wife, Imogene; a son and three daughters; and three grandchildren
