LEXINGTON, N.C. — Jerry Lee Hodges, former vice president of manufacturing for furniture manufacturers Henredon and Councill Craftsmen, has died. He was 84.
Hodges began his career at Young-Hinkle Corp. in Lexington in 1963 before joining Henredon Furniture in Morganton in 1979. He joined Councill Companies in Denton, N.C., as vice president of manufacturing in 1986. After leaving Councill in 1992, he worked as a furniture manufacturing consultant for companies in South America and Mexico.
Hodges is survived by his daughter and two brothers, both of whom worked in the furniture industry (Mike Hodges and Steve Hodges).
