GREENSBORO, N.C. – Longtime furniture executive Richard “Rick” Vaughn died Oct. 4 at age 75.
Vaughn was born June 5, 1944, in Detroit to Richard E. Vaughn and Betty Biggers Vaughn. After graduating from Dubuque University, he attended Princeton Seminary. He began his business career with Armstrong Corp. and, in 1975, moved to North Carolina as sales manager for Thomasville Furniture for 17 years. Rick retired as executive vice president of sales for Baker Furniture Co.
Vaughn was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ann London Vaughn;two children and two step-children; five grandchildren; and a sister.
