NAPLES, Fla. — Longtime fabric and furniture industry veteran Burton H. Kaplan died Oct. 15.
Kaplan’s career began at Futorian as a salesman and then at Rowe Furniture as vice president.
In 1985, he began to focus on textiles at Chromatex and eventually moved to Richloom Fabrics where he was national sales manager. Kaplan went to become president of John Wolf Textiles, a division of Cone Mills, and in 2001, he retired from Kravet Fabrics.
Kaplan is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy; two children; a granddaughter; and a brother. He is predeceased by his sister.
