UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — Ronald M. Joseph, a long-time furniture manufacturer’s sales representative, died May 11 at the age of 86.
Born Dec. 4, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Joseph started as a sales rep in the 1960s, primarily covering New York and New Jersey for companies including Bassett Mirror, Raymour and Thomasville.
In December 1971, he moved to University Heights, Ohio, and helped establish a new Caldwell division for Thomasville, which continued for about 18 months.
After that, Joseph continued as an independent sales rep for the remainder of his career, joined by his son Seth Joseph in 1987, until he retired in 2001.
Ron Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Arline. He is survived by three children, a brother, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to NCJW Cleveland Section or to the Alzheimer’s Assn.
