HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Industry veteran Frank E. Hanshaw Jr., died Aug. 30 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was 88.
Born March 20, 1931, to Frank and Elizabeth Hanshaw, he attended Kentucky Military Institute, Davidson College, George Washington University for his master’s degree and received an honorary management degree from High Point University.
Hanshaw was president of Huntington Wholesale Furniture Co. He also served as past president of the International Wholesale Furniture Assn. and Associated Furniture Distributors, and was a member of the Marketing of Furniture Interior Design advisory board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Cowden Hanshaw. Survivors include two children, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister and two brothers.
